MINETA SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT GATES 29 & 30
The project includes new Gates 29 & 30 at Mineta San Jose International Airport. The existing hold room was remodeled for the new gate kiosks and conversion of a retail tenant area to additional work areas wired for passenger Wi-fi access and smart device charging. A new fixed passenger bridge provides access to the new passenger boarding bridges.
The project delivery method was design-bid-build where M+ was the mechanical and electrical engineers-of-record.
MEYERS+ provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing & fire protection services.
ENGINEERING FEATURES
Normal and emergency power were extended from existing infrastructure to power the new jet bridges, fixed passenger bridge and remodeled hold room.
Passenger boarding bridges are fitted with pre-conditioned air systems. Fixed split HVAC units in the fixed passenger boarding bridges allow flexible control timed to boarding and deplaning schedules.
