OAKLAND A’S HOWARD TERMINAL BALLPARK AND DEVELOPMENT
Major League Baseball’s Oakland A’s are proposing a new Ballpark and mixed-use development at Howard Terminal in the Jack London Square district of Oakland, California. The project includes a 35,000-person Major League Baseball Ballpark for the Oakland A’s, 1.5 million square feet of commercial development, 3,000 residences, a 400 key hotel and a 3,500 seat performance venue.
MEYERS+ is assisting in the development of the master plan and environmental impact report, developing load profiles for electric and gas utility planning, and coordinating new services with PG&E and alternative energy service and storage providers. M+ provided the conceptual design of MEP systems for the new Ballpark to determine best value and provide cost model input.
MEYERS+ is providing mechanical and electrical consulting services for the Master Plan and new Ballpark.
ENGINEERING FEATURES
M+ led discussions with PG&E in the development of the Ballpark’s electrical infrastructure including PG&E’s System Impact Study, site distribution to future development blocks, and interconnection of solar PV/storage systems.
M+ collaborated with alternative energy service providers and stakeholders to develop alternatives for renewable energy and storage for evaluation and cost model support.
