Mechanical Engineer - Associate
MEYERS+ ENGINEERS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Associate to join our San Francisco office and work on world class design projects with a leading MEP design firm in the architectural engineering consulting industry. We are looking for a technically proficient engineer with leadership qualities and project management experience on projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and engineering related to the design and construction of highly sustainable, high performance, innovative, and iconic buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conceptualize mechanical HVAC systems and communicate design options to stakeholders
Develop high quality mechanical HVAC system construction documents
Develop building automation system (BAS) controls and sequences of operation
Prepare mechanical technical specifications
Project team organization and management
Project planning and forecasting
Complete projects profitably and on schedule
Develop new client relationships
Participate in business development activities
Active participant in firm leadership and management
Develop proposals and interview for project opportunities
Present to clients, staff and at industry events
Provide mentorship, training and development for staff
Project quality control
Key Competencies and Skills:
Experience working on a variety of building types through all phases of a project from schematic design through construction administration
Excellent communications skills to enable successful in-person dialogue and relationships with owners, architects and other consultants
Inspire and motivate staff
Lead and manage projects successfully and profitably
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit
Engineering calculations and performance simulation software
Construction administration experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
7+ Years' Experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
LEED Accreditation
