Lei Daco
Electrical Design Engineer
Growing up, I've always been driven to understand how things worked, why things are the way they are, and how it can be improved. This curiosity and my desire to help others is what inspired me to pursue engineering. However, what drew me towards building design was my grandparents, who were both architects. As a child, I found a photo of my childhood home, designed by my grandfather, surrounded only by fields stretching for miles without another house in sight. Now, that area has become one of the largest and most populous cities in the country. This made me realize that not only did my grandparents help design buildings, but they also helped build a community that transformed the future of our hometown. With my passion for improvement and problem-solving, I hope to play a part in building a better world as well.
These influences led to me pursuing a position at MEYERS+ where I can bring my vision to life with a team of like-minded people. I want to help design an enriching environment, whether it be a productive workplace, engaging school, or beloved home, that is also a beautiful and innovative testament to the power of combining design with practicality. During my time here, I am also realizing that we are designing more than buildings, but spaces where people can live, learn, and flourish. I hope to continue working towards designing a sustainable community where people can feel comfortable and empowered to reach their highest potential.

Art is one of my favorite hobbies. In my spare time, I like to draw and even work on commissions. Though most of my artworks are in 2D, I view my work in MEYERS+ as making livable art and bringing my creativity to life.
