Growing up I was born into a family of engineers. Some of my earliest memories involve seeing my grandfather take apart and rebuild computers on his living room coffee table. He and my father would show me the things they would make in the machine shop in my grandparents’ basement. The awe of seeing their home and work projects take form stuck with me all through my youth and made it a natural decision to become an engineer.
For college I took my first biggest leap, moving from rural Pennsylvania to New York City to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering at Manhattan College. It was a bit of a shock, but I knew the challenges and opportunities I would have in moving to the city would push me to do my best. Engineering was my calling, although I wasn’t sure what industry I wanted to pursue, but I knew I wanted to do something with significance. Sure enough, through a career fair, I learned about the AEC industry and obtained an internship with WSP, formerly Flack + Kurtz, and since then I’ve been hooked. I’ve been able to work on projects of all different sizes and types, from mass transit, education, commercial, residential, and entertainment facilities. It has truly scratched the itch to do something with significance, as helping to shape a part of the world’s-built environment continues to bring me excitement, and better yet, I’m able to do so at Meyers+ with many of the colleagues and mentors I’ve had since the beginning of my career.

In my free time I’m an avid road cyclist. You can find me riding my bike all over the tri-state area, and even racing in a club in Central Park. The freedom of the open road always keeps me going.
