"Even at a young age, I was intrigued by how this was possible and what goes behind building a building. As I began my college career I knew engineering was what I wanted to do. I took a class called Engineering Drawing which involved drafting architectural plans and eventually using Revit to create construction documents of a house. Each day, as I continue to learn and grow in this career, I love it more and more."

Alicia Herrera
"I grew up in the small town of Los Alamos, New Mexico, where the first atomic bomb was created at Los Alamos National Laboratory. I was privileged to grow up around renowned scientists and engineers from around the world, including my dad. After earning my degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, I quickly knew I wanted to make an influence in the engineering world as a woman engineer."
