Electrical Engineer
MEYERS+ ENGINEERS is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our San Francisco office and work on world class design projects with a leading MEP design firm in the architectural engineering consulting industry. We are looking for a technically proficient and seasoned engineer with experience delivering complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and engineering related to the design and construction of highly sustainable, high performance, innovative, and iconic buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conceptualize electrical systems and communicate design options to clients and other stakeholders.
Develop high quality construction documents and specifications.
Perform engineering calculations for building load analysis and emergency power systems.
Prepare building due diligence and assessment reports to describe existing systems and electrical design options.
Participate with the MEP team in construction administration activities including on-site field observation, punch list reports, contractor coordination, RFI’s, and cost estimate review.
Provide mentorship, training, and development for junior staff.
Develop client relationships through successful coordination and demonstration of excellence on project work
Key Competencies and Skills:
Experience working on a variety of building types through all phases of a project from schematic design through construction administration.
Excellent communications skills to enable successful in-person dialogue and relationships with owners, architects and other consultants.
Desire for project management roles where you can lead and manage MEP project teams successfully.
Excellent written skills in the form of engineering reports and technical analysis.
Effective knowledge of the National Electrical Code, California Building Code, and NFPA Codes.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit.
Construction administration experience.
Engineering calculations (load calculations, short circuit calculations, generator sizing, voltage drop, Title 24 compliance forms)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
3+ Years Experience
LEED Accreditation
