Daniel Teran
Mechanical Engineer

Growing up I never knew where my curiosity towards how things were made and worked came from, until my mother told me about my great-grandfather. My great great-grandfather was an electrical engineer and developer in Spain who designed and implemented the infrastructure that brought electricity to the Pyrenees region. Now, as mechanical engineer designing HVAC systems, I understand that this curiosity and passion for math, physics and engineering was passed down through him.

Before living in NYC, I grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. From there, I attended and graduated from Bucknell University with a dual degree in mechanical engineering and math, while also playing Division I soccer for the varsity team. After college I began my career in HVAC design in New York City. Much of my experience has been in the commercial, retail, mission critical and transportation sectors. I joined Meyers+ in the summer of 2024 with the desire to continue learning within these sectors and broaden my knowledge in other sectors within the A/E/C industry.

Did you know?

I am first generation born in the US and my first language was Spanish. My parents were born in Mexico and my extended family still lives there. I used to spend every summer growing up in Mexico City to visit my extended family, and I still go back at least once a year.
